MELTEM ILDES 
 

                She was born in Ankara on February 12. After finishing her high school education at Kocatepe Mimar Kemal Anatolian High School, she got a full scholarship to study in the Department of Cinema and Television at Istanbul Okan University, marking the beginning of her academic journey in the field of cinema. During her university education, Ildes aimed to improved her directorial vision in a multifaceted way. She studied acting at the Sadri Alısık Cultural Center Acting Department, gaining first-hand experience with the dynamics in front of the camera. This experience strengthened her interest in character development, actor direction, and performance analysis within her directorial approach.During the pandemic, seeking to enrich her creativity and cultural background, she studied Korean at the Korean Cultural Center, complementing her English and Spanish language skills, and spent an extended period in Seoul.

                During this time, Ildes took on the role of Turkiye representative for a media company, working on format acquisition and distribution between Korea and Turkiye. This experience provided her with valuable insight into international production processes and content strategies.In the summer of 2022, Ildes completed an internship at one of South Korea’s most prestigious film production companies. Upon returning to her home country, she took part in various commercial and short film projects, contributing to production, script development, post-production, and creative directing.

               Today, Meltem Ildes actively manages both the production and directing processes of commercial films for global brands through the production company she founded a year ago. Simultaneously, she serves as the director of the art-focused TV program “Sokak Sanatları” (“Street Arts”) on TRT2.
